Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Uppapets pet strollers provide cats with an enclosed, ventilated space for outdoor outings, vet appointments, travel and everyday adventures. They can be especially helpful for indoor cats, senior cats, cats recovering from illness or injury, and cats that find conventional carriers stressful.

  • Yes. The prams have been designer with both cats and dogs in mind. Their are multiple sizes to accommodate cats and dogs to fit comfortably within the relevant cabin dimensions and maximum weight limit.

  • Consider four measurements:

    1. Your cat’s weight, or the combined weight of all cats travelling together.
    2. Your cat’s body length when lying down.
    3. Your cat’s height when sitting naturally.
    4. The space needed for every cat to sit, turn around and lie down comfortably.

Compare these measurements with the cabin dimensions rather than relying on weight alone. A cat may be below the maximum load but still require a larger cabin because of its height or body length.

  • Yes. The maximum load is the combined weight of all pets using the pram. For example, two 6 kg cats have a combined weight of 12 kg.

There must also be enough cabin space for each cat to sit or lie comfortably without overcrowding. The manufacturer confirms that multiple pets may share a pram when both the combined weight and available space are suitable.

  • Uppapets prams range from compact everyday models to extra-large options for bigger cats, large dogs and multi-cat households. From approximately smallest to largest:

    • Toto: 55 × 33.5 × 50.5 cm cabin; maximum load 15 kg
    • Flander: 52 × 35 × 53 cm cabin; maximum load 15 kg
    • Nero Plus: 60 × 34 × 55 cm cabin; maximum load 20 kg
    • Aroa: 62 × 34 × 55 cm cabin; maximum load 20 kg
    • Hybrid: 62 × 35 × 54 cm cabin; maximum load 20 kg
    • Aroa Plus: 64 × 34 × 55 cm cabin; maximum load 20 kg
    • Flander Max: 62 × 35 × 58 cm cabin; maximum load 20 kg
    • Camper: 82 × 51 × 74 cm cabin; maximum load 100 kg

When choosing a pram, consider both your cat’s weight and physical size. Your cat should have enough room to sit upright, turn around and lie down comfortably. For multiple cats, add their weights together and ensure the cabin provides comfortable space for every cat.

The order is approximate because some models are longer while others are wider or taller. The cabin measurements are the best way to compare individual models.

  • Yes, all Uppapets prams include an internal safety tether.

  • Allow your cat to explore the stationary pram at home first. Leave the canopy open and add familiar bedding, treats or toys. Once your cat is relaxed, close the canopy briefly, then try short indoor movements before progressing to quiet outdoor walks.

Never force a frightened cat into the pram. Some cats may need several gradual sessions.

  • Yes. The current range uses one-click or one-piece folding systems, although the folding process and folded dimensions differ between models. Always engage the brake and remove your cat before folding or unfolding the pram.

  • The detachable pram carrier is not an approved or crash-rated car seat.

For regular road travel, the Anne is Uppapets Car Seat is a dedicated ISOFIX-equipped pet car seat which has been crash tested.

  • The range features premium swivel front wheels, wheel suspension and linked braking systems used in baby prams. PU-wheel models generally provide greater durability and grip, while EVA-wheel models are lighter and well suited to everyday urban use.

Take extra care on loose gravel, very rough ground, steep slopes and wet surfaces. Do not push a pram down stairs or use it on an escalator.

  • Uppapets prams use a water-repellent OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 fabric on the range, but water-repellent does not mean completely waterproof. Use the canopy for light protection and check whether a compatible rain cover is available for your model. Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain.

  • Uppapets includes a UPF 50+ fabric on all of the prams. Always maintain adequate airflow, provide water and avoid prolonged outings during hot weather. Never leave a cat unattended in a pram in direct sunlight.

  • Uppapets recommend wiping the fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap. A soft brush may be used for stubborn marks. Avoid bleach and harsh cleaning agents, and allow all fabric to air-dry completely before use. Do not tumble-dry unless the individual care label specifically permits it.

Car Seat FAQs

  • The Anne is a padded pet travel seat designed to attach to a vehicle using ISOFIX. It includes antibacterial fabric, memory-foam-style cushioning, a three-point restraint system and removable washable components. It has an overall size of 68 × 60 × 46 cm and a maximum load of 20 kg.

  • Yes, provided your cat fits comfortably within the seat and remains below the 20 kg maximum load. Your cat should be able to sit and lie naturally without being crowded.

Important note: 1 cat is recommended per car seat due to the crash test certification is based on all 3 leashes being attached to 1 cat in the seat.

  • The Anne requires adequate seat space and a compatible installation point. It measures 68 cm long × 60 cm wide × 46 cm high.

Check your vehicle manual for ISOFIX anchor locations and measure the intended seating position before ordering. Use only an installation method authorised in the Uppapets instructions, do not improvise attachment points.

  • The car seat must first be correctly secured to the vehicle. Your cat should then be attached to the 3 x supplied restraint leashes using a properly fitted cat harness, never a collar.

Keep the restraint short enough to prevent your cat from jumping from the seat, but long enough for comfortable sitting and lying.

  • Install it in a compatible rear seating position according to the product and vehicle instructions. RSPCA Australia recommends restraining pets in the back seat and notes that vehicle-restraint requirements differ between Australian states and territories.

  • No. The Anne is designed for 1 pet per seat. Its crash-tested three-point leash tether requires all three attachments to be used for the same cat or dog to provide the intended level of protection. Sharing the seat would prevent both pets from being secured correctly and may compromise their safety.

Each pet requires their own Anne car seat and must be secured according to the installation instructions using a properly fitted harness, never a collar.

  • No. It is designed exclusively for pets and must never be used to transport a child.

  • Uppapets' Anne Car Seat uses ISOFIX and a three-point restraint. Uppapets car seats are built to meet child safety standards. These seats pass strict crash tests to handle sudden brakes and sharp turns. With a reinforced frame and steady base, every pet stays safe and calm while the world moves by.

  • The Anne features PRET antibacterial fabric and removable, washable components for easy cleaning. Remove the liner and wash it on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, following the care label. Avoid bleach and harsh cleaning products, and allow all components to air-dry completely before reassembling the seat.

The antibacterial fabric helps maintain a fresher, more hygienic travel space, but regular cleaning is still recommended.

Uppapets Collection

Everything you need to know about our Uppapets strollers, car seats and accessories, including materials, delivery and returns.

  • Start with your cat’s weight and measurements, then compare the cabin dimensions and weight limit on the product page. Your cat should have enough room to sit, turn around and lie comfortably.

If two pets will share a stroller, check their combined weight and allow enough space for both. Also consider the folded dimensions, lifting weight and whether you would like a removable carrier.

  • The names shown in Uppapets’ product information cover different things, including fabrics, manufacturing practices and stroller testing:

    • CCC / 3C: China Compulsory Certification, a mandatory certification scheme for specified product categories sold in China. Its scope depends on the product covered by the certificate. Learn more.
    • FSC®: Forest Stewardship Council certification relates to forest-based materials, such as paper, cardboard or wood. Different FSC labels identify certified forest sources, recycled materials or permitted mixtures. Learn more.

These standards have different purposes and scopes. A fabric or factory certification does not automatically certify every part of a finished product.

  • UPF measures how effectively a fabric blocks ultraviolet radiation. UPF 50+ indicates excellent UV protection through the tested fabric. It applies to the fabric itself; openings and uncovered areas still allow sunlight through.

Always provide ventilation, monitor your pet’s comfort and avoid outings in excessive heat.
